Introduction - The school was established in 1945. According to natural growth, the primary division started in 1947.

School Structure and Admission - The school consists of first to fourth std. having two divisions of each. In each class, there are 40 students. Nearabout 320 students learn in the school. There are 12 teachers along with the principal. In addition to academic studies, special teachers have been appointed for music and art. Prayer hall, music room, mathematics room, laboratory and a library, these facilities are available in the school for the students. The school timing is from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Students who complete upper K.G of Jnana Prabodhini – Solapur are admitted to the Primary school.

Educational Role and Objectives - The school considers this stage as crucial for learning 3 R (3 Rs : reading, writing, and arithmetic) and inculcating life values. The focus of education in this age group is to develop fundamental abilities and skills, introducing Indian culture, promoting discipline, value education etc. Various programs and courses are designed to achieve these objectives.

Special Features - Primary education is conducted in the Marathi language. A curriculum based on the development of five senses and intellect and emotions is used. The teaching method is based on the Panchakosha model. Comprehensive development is the focus of both school and extracurricular programs. The emphasis is on joyful learning.

Teaching Methodology - The school follows a project-based approach, where students are encouraged to connect theoretical knowledge from textbooks with practical experiences, site visits, inspections, skill development and assessment is done on that basis. Students also participate in group activities and pair work to enhance their subject knowledge and team work. The school encourages experiential learning to ensure that students directly apply what they learn.

Special Educational Programs - Diverse programs are designed to enrich and enhance the educational environment from an academic perspective.

  1. Co-curricular Days : Co-curricular days are a crucial part of the educational process as they play an important role in providing students with various forms of experiential learning. During co-curricular days, students select a specific subject and engage in different sessions and activities related to that subject. These activities include agricultural practices, exhibitions of local produce, traditional and alternative energy sources, and much more. By participating in these activities and gaining comprehensive knowledge, students and teachers collaborate to facilitate their practical implementation.

  2. Field Trips and Local Visits : Supplementary programs are organized annually to provide students with experiential learning opportunities. Students are taken to various historical sites, factories, schools, temples, forts, and other local places in and around Solapur. These visits offer students a chance to gain firsthand experiences and get inspired. Additionally, field trips allow students to explore rural life, agricultural practices, architectural heritage, and even engage in direct exploration of historical forts.

  3. Experts’ Introduction : Experts’ introductions are conducted to expose students to individuals actively engaged in different fields or specialties related to a particular region or topic. Students get chance to interact with and get introduced to individuals from various backgrounds, such as soldiers, healthcare professionals, doctors, nurses, differently-abled individuals, and artists. Folk arts like Bharud, Powada, Dombari Khel, etc. are demonstrated in front of students for introducing them cultural heritage and local arts.

  4. Co-residential Programs : Residential programs are organized in the school to provide students the joy of staying together and to promote self-reliance, cooperation, and character development. These programs include a variety of activities such as sports, competitions, group projects, singing, storytelling, tug-of-war, and communal meals. The inclusion of these activities fosters a sense of togetherness among students and strengthens the bond between teachers and students, contributing to their overall development.
