Introduction - Health of Bidi rolling women is adversely affected due to exposure to tobacco. So, to increase their lung capacity and improvement of overall health, we initiated a Pranayam Class. Along with Pranayam we are trying to organize them, develop their leadership qualities, give them exposure to a wider world.

Structure - Currently, there are a total of 30 groups with approximately 350 women who regularly practice Pranayam. There are 30 leaders, 6 section heads from 6 sections, and one Pranayam program head. Each Pranayam group consists of around 10 to 12 women. The class takes place every day from Monday to Saturday in the morning from 6 to 8 and in the evening from 5 to 6:30. It starts with warming up exercises, followed by the chanting of "Om" and then various Pranayam practices, including Kapalbhati, breathing exercises, Bhramari, Anulom-Vilom, and sometimes yoga postures as per the women's preferences. Every Saturday, there is prayer and meditation.

Special Activities - With the aim of boosting these women's self-esteem and self-confidence, various special activities are planned. One of them is the annual Ashadi Ekadashi devotional singing event. Every year, this event is organized in different sections. Women sang devotional songs with deep reverence. Some women did Abhang singing for the first time in their lives. Throughout the year, three gatherings are organized, two are section-wise, and one is grand gathering which brings all women together. Through these gatherings, social awareness session is carried out, and it inspires women to work together. The gatherings also serve to develop women's leadership and sense of commitment toward society.

Music Class - A music class is initiated within the Pranayam program to educate women in music. Bhajans for auspicious days, pterotic songs and basic music are taught in the class. around 25 women participate in this music class. Their throats, once affected by tobacco, have now turned into singing voices.
