Part I. Technology : Training Programme for ITI Students
Introduction - ITI are most crucial institutes which train young people to make them Industry Ready via various Trades available to them. Looking at the forthcoming industrial Scenario, without technology, it will be hard to cope up with industrial needs. So, creating and offering training courses which are aligned with Industrial Trades for ITI Students has been the main reason behind this initiative.
Aim -We aim to identify ITI students from deprived background and design sustainable curriculum for Technical Training Programme. These programmes are thoughtfully planned to ensure they complement their ITI Trade Syllabus, thus, helping these young minds truely to get ready to become entrepreneurs !
Process We Follow -We have well equipped Computer Lab and Classroom with capacity of 20 students at our facility at Chaitanya Bhuvan, Solapur. With the first step being designing course syllabus with the help of concerned ITI Faculties, we shall then identify Industry Experts to conduct these trainings. Currently we are having 3 days training with 2 days of practice sessions for each batch. We also encourage and engage these students to understand power of concentration and meditation. We conduct weekly sessions for this, helping students’ overall development.
Part II : Extending Support for Self-Employment
We gave materials worth Rs. 57 thousand each as an interest-free loan to three ambitious youths from deprived class who have completed ITI to become financially independent. Based on this, they will gradually repay the loan by doing their own business. After receiving the material, the hope of making the business successful could be seen on his face. ITI Teacher Shri. Dattatray Shinde encouraged these youths and took the responsibility of helping them in business.
